Fony Demodisk #1

This is our first real mega demo released on MSX...

We released it on the fair at Tilburg in the year of 1991. This demos features
OWN WRITTEN SCC MUSIC, written with SCC-musixx by TYFOON Software, which consisted
of the two coders of FONY, The Pretender & Mr. Feet. This is probably the only demo
which has this, and although I say it myself, the music of this demo is VERY good !!!!

It's quite an oldie of course, but still very good !!! It's really worth a good look,
so I should say... Have a look at the screen shots and download this demo !!!

This was the introduction. This part goes wrong in all emulators, except the latest
version of FmsxDOS. First we made an input with a mouse with which we wrote the text,
and then with a little blue/white dot, we reproduced on the screen, together with a nice
stars background. Of course with a nice cool music on the background.
They forgot to let me write my name in this part... Sniff Sniff... Probably because I
didn't do anything with this demo, except bothering everyone. They didn't even feel guilty
about forgetting me... I still haven't forgiven them....

This part we also used as a pre-release of this demodisk. It was featured on a clubguide
picturedisk (#3 if I am correct) It had a smooth sinus-scroll and some fireworks in the
background. The FONY logo in the screen, you can move around by pressing the cursor keys,
but... before you can do that, you need to press the GRAPH key. This part also doesn't work
to good in a lot of emulators. Again only the latest FmsxDOS release will help you.

At school, we had a very nice teacher, called Mr. Roza. He gave Economics lessons.
He inspired our GFX-Man, Metallica to this nice portrait in which he shows us his
gratitude towards this very dedicated teacher.
As you can see, Mr. Roza was very popular on our school, and we all liked him very much.
More details about this very kind man can be found in the scroller, telling everything
about his personal life. So if you ever happen to go to the Nassau Scholengemeenschap
in Breda, just go and check out Class No. 176, where you can find this great, nobel price
deserving man. (If he is still alive of course. I cannot guarantee that.

The music in this demo is a SCC version of It's on you. It sounds really cool, and was
also made by Metallica.

Hmmmm... Maybe it's better if you skip this part. it only has a logo, a scroller and some
very weird music. I guess that is the only good part about this piece of our furthermore
fantastic demo...

Marcel was very very proud when he saw this demo. We still don't understand how it was
possible that he liked this demo. Eric didn't mind either. Well.. Anyway, it was a good
way to get rid of some very stupid SCC-tune we had lying around, and we had no use for.
These pictures were made on some MSX-fair, digitised with a NMS-8280. Between batman and
this demo, there was also a very nice basic-joke built in, but.. As it is only text, no
pictures here...

This is a real-time 3D vector graphic. I think it was the first one on MSX, done real-time.
Because of this, it really looked cool on a 7 Mhz System, although that messed up the sound
in this demo. As it is real time, you can also move and turn the logo it self, in the X - Y
and Z angle. The 3D engine itself was taken from an Amiga demo. The Pretender took al good
look at the source of that demo and thought: What can be done on an amiga, can be done on
MSX... And so he did !!! This one is really cool and a must see !!!!

You need an MSX - 2 with at least 128kB of RAM and a SCC cartridge

Release Date: 13 April 1991
